- Dick Bosman's career was about over when this card came out. He didn't make the Oakland ballclub in spring training. Bosman was released on March 26, 1977. Dick tried out with the Cleveland Indians and the Chicago Cubs, but when he didn't make those clubs he retired in early April.

I remember being baffled by this card because Bosman was suddenly featuring a perm. Those '70s were strange.
