1977 Topps Baseball #182 - Dan Spillner


  • In 1977 Dan Spillner was converted to a full-time reliever. He spent the first month of the season in AAA Hawaii and was recalled in early May after making three starts for the Islanders. Dan appeared in 76 games and had a decent year. Spillner continued to be a full-time reliever until 1979.

  1. I believe Spillner holds the record for the most walks for a batter with only 10 hits. He walked 19 times in his career. That seems quite high for a pitcher like him.
