- June 10 - Went 3 for 5 with 3 RBI and 3 runs scored to help the Reds beat the Montreal Expos 13-1. It was the first time Tony Perez had played in Cincinnati since he was traded to Montreal.
- June 30 - Had three hits, four RBI, and two runs scored in the Reds' 11-5 win over the San Francisco Giants
- Aug 1 - Tripled in the go-ahead run in the top of the 7th inning to break a 5-5 tie. The Reds ended up winning the game 7-6.
- Oct 1 - Had two hits in four at bats to raise his batting average to .300. It took Dan almost two months to get his average back over .300 since dropping below that mark on August 11.
