- Danny Frisella died in a dune buggy accident about 100 yards from his Phoenix home on January 1, 1977.
- The Brewers wore black armbands on the left sleeve of their uniforms in memory of Danny during the 1977 season. His widow Pam gave birth to Danny's son on March 4, which would have been his 31st birthday. The child was given the name Daniel.
