- Ken Singleton had one of his best seasons in 1977. Ken batted .328 (a career high) was an AL All Star (he was hit by a Rick Reuschel pitch in the 8th inning), and finished third in AL MVP voting.

- May 24 - Hit a home run in the 8th inning to lead the Orioles to a 2-1 win over the Milwaukee Brewers.
- Aug 20 - Went 4 for 4 with a home run as the Orioles beat the Minnesota Twins 6-2.
- Sept 16 - Doubled in two runs in Baltimore's 6-1 win over the Boston Red Sox. The victory allowed the Orioles to take sole possession of second place in the tight AL East race.
