1977 Topps Baseball #127 - Ron Fairly

• Ron Fairly's first Topps card was in 1959. His last Topps card was in 1979. He came very close to being a "four decade" baseball card guy.
• Ron played for the Toronto Blue Jays in 1977. He was traded from the Oakland A's for a minor leaguer and $30,000.
• Fairly was the Blue Jays' representative to the 1977 All Star Game. He batted .346 in  May and .341 in June before tailing off to finish at .279.
• 1977 Stats: .279, 19 HR, 64 RBI
• 1977 Highlights:
• May 4 - Had three hits and two RBI in Toronto's 10-3 win over the Milwaukee Brewers
• June 27 - Hit a 2-run homer in the 6th inning to break a tie and the Blue Jays went on to beat the New York Yankees 7-6.
• July 19 - Was struck out by Tom Seaver in his at bat in the All Star Game.
