- July 11 - Had a complete game 4-3 win over the New York Yankees on national television. It was the third of six straight complete game victories for Flanagan. Mike was 2-8 when the streak started. The streak turned his season around.
- Sept 22 - Allowed one run on six hits as the Orioles beat the Toronto Blue Jays 7-1.
- Sept 27 - Struck out 13 batters in a complete game 6-1 win over the Detroit Tigers. The win kept Baltimore's playoff chances alive.
