- Stan Wall had to battle for a relief role in spring training. Stan won a job, but his stats weren't all that great and he was sent down to AAA Albuquerque in early July. Wall struggled in Albuquerque and didn't pitch after the 1977 season.
- 1977 Stats:
- Los Angeles: 2-3, 5.34 ERA in 25 games
- Albuquerque (AAA): 2-3, 7.63 ERA in 11 games (6 starts)
- 1977 Highlights:
- April 24 - Entered the game in relief in the fifth inning after starter Tommy John had given up six runs in 4 1/3 innings and after Mike Garman couldn't get the two batters he faced out. Wall pitched 2 2/3 innings of shutout ball to earn the win.
- June 14 - Picked up a win as he pitched two scoreless innings and the Dodgers came from behind to beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 3-2.
- July 29 - Gave up 7 runs, including a 3-run homer by Jim Gantner, as the Albuquerque Dukes lost to Spokane.
- Sept 1 - Recalled from Albuquerque, but didn't get into any games (probably because of circulatory problems in his hand). Stan's last game was on July 3.
- About Nov 15 - Received a half share of the playoff money from the Dodgers' playoff run.
