- Glenn Borgmann got very little playing time in 1976 or in 1977. Butch Wynegar came up and took over the Twins catching position. Wynegar was very durable and Borgmann got in a total of 41 games in the two seasons.
- 1977 Stats: .256 in 17 games
- 1977 Highlights:
- June 8 - Hit a game tying 2-run homer in the 8th inning. The Twins eventually won the game 9-8.
- June 19 - Bowled over by Hal McRae and suffered ligament damage in his knee. McRae was out at the plate.
- June 20 - Placed on the disabled list. Glenn wouldn't see action again until mid-September
