- July 23 - Homered in the 9th inning to give the Braves a 5-4 victory over the Chicago Cubs.
- July 29 - Homered and scored twice in Atlanta's 5-3 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates.
- Aug 12 - Hit a grand slam off of Don Sutton in the 9th inning to turn a 2-1 Dodger lead into a 5-4 Braves victory. Rod knocked in all five Atlanta runs in the game.
