ReplyDeleteDoesn't look like Bobby completely agreed with umpire Paul Pryor on that strike call. Fairly certain this was the 2nd game of a doubleheader on Sunday 7/18/76 as it was the only day game Joe Ferguson played at San Francisco that year. Bobby took an 0-for-4 collar in a 5-4 loss in front of 15,937 dedicated Giants fans watching two pretty lousy teams. The game at Candlestick the next night drew... 1,587 fans. Some of the attendance figures for lousy teams from the 70s were pretty scary. Didn't the A's once draw like 200 people for a game in the late 70s?
