- Tony Muser was mostly a defensive replacement and pinch hitter in 1977. He played in 120 games but only had 133 plate appearances.
- This was Tony's last season as an Oriole. Muser asked to be traded but the Orioles didn't get any offers that they like. Tony was released before the 1978 season and then played one more season with the Milwaukee Brewers
- At one point during the 1977 season Baltimore manager Earl Weaver charged that umpire Joe Brinkman had a vendetta against Muser dating back from the previous season.

- Aug 9 - Hit a pinch double in the 8th inning and later scored as the Orioles came back to beat the Cleveland Indians 3-1.
